Tom won the 2007 Summer NAMM world speed drumming finals in Austin, Texas with 1156 single strokes (currently the highest score that's ever been recorded during a final championship round). Tom's highest preliminary run was 1194 single strokes making him the fastest in the 16-and-under age category internationally as well as ranking him as the 3rd fastest drummer in the entire world in ALL age categories. His experience with WFD has been very beneficial towards his playing abilities and musicality and has opened up many doors for technical approaches. Tom Grosset began playing the drums at the age of 12 and since then he has excelled at performing a variety of styles of music. At the moment, Tom is currently taking a bachelor's of music at Humber College in Toronto, Canada. Tom has also been officially recognized by Guinness World Records as one of the fastest drummers in the world in which he holds several speed drumming world records. In July 2007, Tom won the World's Fastest Drummer competition at the NAMM convention in Austin, Texas. Tom successfully set a record of 1194 single strokes in 1 minute making him the new 16-and-under record holder and officially the 3rd fastest drummer in the world overall in all age categories.
