Daimler SP250 at Silverstone

Plug in your stereo, turn up the volume and listen to a V8 on song while lapping Silverstone racetrack!! This was part of the Norwich Union Rally on Sunday 14th October '07 when nearly 700 Classic cars, starting from 6 venues, drove a 150 mile route to finish at Silverstone. The weather was perfect, the route superb, and the company marvellous. A note to the racing pros among you -- this was my 1st time ever on a race track, and at Silverstone there are no kerbs so it is nigh impossible to see where the track goes until you're on the bend (and some of them go on and on!). I spent all the time in 3rd gear and overdrive 3rd, with a maximum of 90mph on the straight. I'll be faster next time! But listen for the rasping tyres - there wasn't much more adhesion left!
