Volvo 740 GL Cold start

its around a 16oC early summer morning, engine left cold sitting overnight, in a 1989 volvo 740 GL Saloon....quite rare now, i bought this car 4 days ago for the price of £350....with 42000 ORIGINAL miles on it...the guy used it for around 400 miles per year!! Everything works fantastic!! It has the 2.0 8v fuel injected rear wheel drive engine and transmission, shifts and drives smoothly, it feels as though you're floating! **I'm pretty sure this car being 21 years old is emissions exempt, as there is no lambda oxygen sensor nor and catalytic converter on the exhaust.....
