Messerschmitt N262AZ ME-262 Engine Run Up [HQ]
Description
Running up the engines, one at a time, on the ME-262 project at Eagles Nest Airport in Ione Calif. today. www.sandersaircraft.com on Tuesday. Have been working on this project for over a year now, front and rear cockpits have GARMIN Avionics installed. This is the only one of four reproduction ME-262 that is still capable of flight. Austin is in the front cockpit running the engines, Korey is in the rear monitoring the engines. Brian is on the wing communicating with the two of them and controlling the run-up. Note that the plane is "tied down" with heavy straps to prevent it from moving forward, a lot of thrust developed in these engines, needed to keep this jet plane tied down!! This reproduction ME-262 was first flown on December 20, 2002, top speed was 560 knots.
