Diego Ortiz Recercada II "La Spagna"

Recercada II, La Spagna by Diego Ortiz, played on Viola da Gamba by J. Harris. This is the debut release of the newly formed Thylacine Consort. This is a virtual music group who's members consist of: Me. :) I don't have anyone to play viol with so I formed my own virtual group and I am recording a lots of pieces that I have been wanting to do for a while. I've been teaching myself Viol for about 1.5 years so far. I've come a long way since I started. I play on a 6 string Viol based off of an instrument by Richard Meares, built by the Charlie Ogle workshop. The drums are a plastic bucket I had lying around which I used along with a improvised drumming mallet. Cheap but it works !!! Also I need to give credit to Rolf Lislevand, for I did a rough transcription of his improvised lute intro he played during a live performance. I don't have a lute yet so I adapted by ear a version similar for modern guitar. I hope you enjoy it. Any and all comments welcome! Thanks!!
