Geneva Toyota Special E

Description

Toyota was proud to show off how much it has lowered C02 emissions at the recent Geneva show, along with showcasing several of its new models. The fab Toyota iQ, the worlds smallest four-seat car, has a new engine option in the shape of the 1.33-litre Dual VVT-I petrol unit. The new engine gets Toyotas new stop/start system and variable valve timing on both inlet and exhaust valves, boosting output to 99hp, 125Nm while maintaining impressive economy (4.8l/100km) and CO2 (113g/km) figures. Toyota now also produces only one Verso MPV model in Europe, and the all-new version is shown in the video. Simply called Verso, its considerably more stylish than the Corolla Verso it replaces, with sculpted bodywork and distinctive detailing. The all-new cabin gets five easy-to-operate, comfy, fold-flat rear seats, while the stylish new dashboard features central dials. Toyota also promises sharper European handling and improved refinement, and while two diesels will be offered, its the 126hp, 310Nm 2.0 D-4D (140g/km, tax band B) that Irish buyers will want.
