EarthShatter - OLD VERSIO - poor vid quality
Description
This is raw footage of a walk through of my level for ITGM 352 Environment and Level Design. The general premise behind the game, Earth Shatter, is that sometime in the near future that ill-fated major earthquake finally hits Tokyo and its your goal to get out of the disaster area alive. Its a survival game that will be full of navigation puzzles and classic platform traps and obstacles. There are no weapons other than the debris around you in your surrounding environment to fend off looters and renegades, and the local resources you can scavenge to keep you going. Taking the first rescue chopper out of harms way is not an option as the main character, freelance photographer Kibou Nokoru, struggles on her quest to find her mother to confirm if she is dead or alive and to secure a safe exit for her as well. The level is a proposed intro level built in the likeness of Shibuya Station, Tokyo, Japan constructed entirely using the Unreal Tournament 3 Engine. All models, textures, and lighting were created by me within one quarter (10 weeks) at the Savannah College of Art and Design. The physical construction of the models was done entirely in mesh using Maya 2009 with the actorX.mll auto triangulate plug in for importation. Orhtographic references from Suurland.com and Blueprints.com were used to construct the Toyota Crown Royal Saloon 2009 police and civilian car as well as the Daphin AS 365N2 rescue choppers. This was only a test level for a school project, not a full game <b>...</b>
