2005 Toyota Echo, Inside View

Description

This is a 2005 Toyota Echo modified for high fuel efficiency. It has the stock 1.5 liter DOHC VVT-i engine, 5 speed manual and it's rolling on the factory recommended tire size, Hankook Optimo H418 (P175/65 R14) with the OEM steel wheels and plastic hub caps. I once managed to get 512 miles on a single tank of fuel, consuming only 10.587 gallons, that's an impressive 48.6 MPG. My Lifetime Fuel Economy is 43 MPG, that's 33% over the EPA Rating. It has a belly pan aeromod made out of corrugated plastic (COROPLAST), a vacuum gauge and a Scan Gauge II It also has a modified cruise control that maintains a constant load, instead of speed, to keep the MPG steady. I also changed the oil viscosity to 10W-30 and increased the tire pressure to 40 PSI. You can find more info at the Ecomodder forum.
