1958 DKW 3=6 Auto Union igntion points in the dark

Description

DKW igntion points sparking. Video is with MSD .85 ohm inline ballast resistor on a 12 volt system, approximately 8-9 volts to points. An Accel 1.85 ohm ballst resistor almost eliminates all point sparking and allows 3-4 volts to points, engine seems to runs the same both configuartions. The engine runs very strong! Here's my combo the best I can recall... Stock 900 cc, 3 cylinder, Milled head .060" 12 volt system, AC delco one wire alternator 14.5 volts 3 MSD Blaster coils, stock trio of points, 1.85 ohm ballst resistor Stock Solex AU1000 carb, 40mm : 40CIB, 30mm choke, 135 main jet, 150 air jet, 55 idle jet 3* advanced timing Homemade single expansion pipe and straight thru dual tip muffler Redline synthetic 2stroke oil www.mphspecialties.com
