BMW Z4 E85 DISA Adjuster Unit Replacement (how to video)
Description
I am not a mechanic so do this at your own risk!!! Simple how to video on how to replace your DISA aka Adjuster or Differentiated Intake System unit on my 2003 BMW Z4 2.5i. This may also apply to the 3 series as the part numbers seem to be the same. BMW part # is 11 61 7 544 806 Part should be checked and maintained regularly as a faulty one can break apart and damage your engine. Its a really simple thing to do. If you are experiencing engine service codes, sluggish acceleration, rough idle or hesitation then this maybe the reason. Also when it becomes faulty you will hear abnormal noise or ratttling coming from this location of your engine. However before replacing this part, make sure to check your lower intake boot for any cracks and leaks as this part may too cause some of these symptoms minus the ratttling noise. But you may hear a whining noise at lower rpms when the lower intake boot has cracks. Hope this info helps!
