9/96 - 3/99 M Sport steering wheel mod FULLY complete

Description

The mod is now complete in my 97 E39 540i/6 build date 6/96. All the buttons now work. You can view my other vids & bgdsub72's vids of the initial install into pre-9/96 E38 & E39. On pre-9/96 E38 or E39 the buttons are analog and a separate Multifunction Module was utilized. It was eliminated after 9/96 which the MFL was integrated into the buttons and spoke I-bus natively. So the long awaited mod has been done. Retrofitted a 9/96-3/99 single stage M Sport steering wheel into pre-9/96 E38 or E39. Researching the net such as bmwdiy.info/msport-wheel explains the difference between the years. That site even questions the possibility of the M Sport steering wheel functioning in pre-9/96 cars.
