E46 BMW 325Ci ECS Tuning Expansion Tank FAIL

This is in addition to the TWO bad thermostats I received and the crap customer service. I had the old coolant level sensor and expansion tank and they worked just fine. I also tested the new level sensor in the old tank and yup, it works too. So much for "stopping my cooling problems before they start." The issue here is that I could choose to ignore the problem because it's just an indicator light and the temp sensor works, so just monitor that, right? I can't just do that because now I don't truly know whether my car has low coolant. Maybe I can have a leak down the line and not know it until I have catastrophic engine failure. I could put my old tank back in but WHY??!!! I paid for a new one and I should have a reasonable expectation that it's going to work properly. The same goes with the thermostats. If you buy something online, shouldn't you have the reasonable expectation that everything is going to work as advertised? Should they as a distributor not have a stake in making sure this stuff works before it goes out to the customers? I mean, it is THEIR name on the line here, so you can't play the blame game. And shouldn't I as a paying customer who is incurring other costs other than just parts and labor (and towing) be not given any grief or hard time when asking for a little help from customer service? I know they are trying to keep costs down, but if they sent me a bad part, they owe it to the customer in good faith to fix the problem right away. Oh, and another <b>...</b>
