This car has been made just for the Italian and Portuguese marketplaces, where cars over 2000 cc were over taxed (eg in Italy there was a VAT of 38%!!!): it was built in 2 doors and 4 doors models, the coupe more aggressive with spoilers, sideskirts, sport seats; the four doors more elegant, it was actually a 325i with the hearth of an M3. Top performance car, 192 bhp@7200 rpm, 240 km/h, 3746 of them were produced in Regensberg Germany, 1206 in 4 doors, 2540 in 2 doors version. More famous all over the world than in Italy (in Germany and UK is called Italian M3), where only who owns one knows which car is it.
