Massachusetts v. EPA: Implications of the Supreme Court Verdict (Part 1 of 2) - Select Committee on Energy Independence and Global Warming - 2007-06-08 - (Part 2 not Currently Available). On Friday the heads of two government agencies responsible for our nation's global warming and oil dependence challenges will appear before Chairman Edward Markey (D-MA) and the Select Committee on Energy Independence and Global Warming. The committee will examine the response by the Bush administration and the Congress on global warming and fuel economy following the landmark Supreme Court decision of Massachusetts v. EPA. In a second panel, the committee will host the Attorneys General from Massachusetts and California to discuss their concerns over the federal government's response to their states' attempts to cut global warming pollution.
