Please comment!!!! 1966 Chevelle Malibu 383 stroker tunnel ram
Description
I bought this 4 door 1966 Chevelle Malibu in Gold Bar, WA in 2009. It was all original except the 15 year old paint job done in "Pacific Blue" and the American Racing wheels. The old guy I bought it from said he'd had it for 30 years or so, and most of that time, it just sat in his garage. He said he'd drive it less than five times a year. I won't tell you what I paid, but lets just say I could sell the wheels and tires alone and make my money back. He just wanted it gone. But, as with alot of older vehicles, the original 283 needed rebuilt, and the 2 speed powerglide was getting pretty tired. It burned so much oil, you'd have to stop every 40 miles or so and dump a couple quarts in AND clean or change the spark plugs. So, I pulled the original power train out and set it off to the side to be rebuilt someday. But for now, I gave the old girl a heart transplant, and she's a real head turner now. It's a 383 stroker with double hump 1.94 heads off from a 327. It's got stock ratio (1.5) roller tip rockers, high performance push rods, cam is an Edelbrock Torker II, intake is a street tunnel ram with twin 500 cfm Edelbrock carbs, For a transmission, I went with a souped up th350 and a 3000 stall converter. I'm working on rebuilding the rear end now. Putting in a 4.10 posi differential and stouter axles. There will be further videos, but she oughta be a tire roaster. I would also like to add this was all done this winter in my shop across the road from my house with no ...
