All New 2010 Peugeot 308 Turbo with 156 bhp

It looks the same but under the bonnet, the latest Peugeot 308 Turbo has two extra gear ratios in its adaptive tiptronic automatic transmission and 16 bhp to give a maximum output of 156 bhp. The new model, priced at RM118,888, will be in Nasim showrooms from next week and is expected to boost 308 sales by 30% from the current average of 150 units a month. Besides the 156-bhp output, the 308 Turbo's 4-cylinder turbocharged engine, which was jointly-developed by PSA Peugeot-Citroen and BMW AG, has 240 Nm of maximum torque from as low as 1400 rpm and can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 9.1 seconds. Apart from the new transmission, the new 308 Turbo also comes with new sporty black dials on the instrument panel as well as Bluetooth and USB connectivity. Other premium features include a panoramic glass sunroof, automatic dual-zone air-conditioning, electric folding side-mirrors, "follow-me-home" lights, day-running lights, automated headlights and automatic wipers, an auto-dimming rearview mirror and air-conditioned glove box. Rear occupants also get more cool air with additional vents and a 6-speaker audio system provides high-quality music. For safety, the 308 Turbo is fitted with 6 airbags, ABS, electronic brake distribution, emergency brake assist, electronic stability program, traction control, dynamic stability control, a rolling code transponder immobilizer security system and two ISOFIX points for childseat installation.
