2010 Paris Motor Show- Ford Focus
Description
Following the unveiling of the Focus ST concept, Ford has released a slew of information regarding the standard models. Sadly, the company has nixed plans to build a three-door variant. According to Derrick Kuzak, Ford's group vice president of Product Development, "Having taken the decision to adopt such a sleek, coupé-like design for the five-door hatchback, there was little space in the line-up for a three-door version. The three-model Focus range (sedan, hatchback, and wagon) provides the ideal blend of sporty, dynamic looks and every-day practicality." While engine options will vary by market, petrol choices include a 1.6-litre EcoBoost with 150 PS (110 kW / 148 hp) and 180 PS (132 kW / 178 hp), a 1.6-litre Duratec Ti-VCT with 105 PS (77 kW / 104 hp) and 125 PS (92 kW / 123 hp), and a 2.0-litre DI Ti-VCT with 160 PS (118 kW / 158 hp). On the diesel side, there's a 1.6-litre Duratorq TDCi with 95 PS (70 kW / 94 hp) and 115 PS (85 kW / 113 hp) as well as a 2.0-litre Duratorq TDCi with 115 PS (85 kW / 113 hp), 140 PS (103 kW / 138 hp), and 163 PS (120 kW / 161 hp). In late 2011, Ford will offer an ECOnetic model which promises to become the most efficient version. Source: Ford & World Car Fans
