THE GRAND CANYON Glad to hit the road again, we made our way to the BIG ONE -- THE GRAND CANYON. It is somewhere that we were all excited about going to see and explore. The drive took longer than we had planned thanks to traffic jams crossing the Hoover Dam and a slight confusion from Liz's compass points. "Never Eat Shredded Wheat -- North, South East West" she stated. "go right to West". The only problem was that left was East and for 50 miles Liz slept like a baby before I decided it was time to stop and ask to see the map! We got to Tusayan late and went straight in to the visitor centre where we watched a great film about the canyon and booked on a five mile hike down into the canyon for the next morning. At 7am we were met by Jason our long haired dude guide who was a font of knowledge about everything that is The Grand Canyon. On the way to our departure point, Jason casually asked if we had already seen the Canyon expecting our reply to be yes. When we said no he immediately diverted off and raced to a viewing point for us <b>...</b>
