The wife's cv joint was going bad so I checked the car out. Changed the driver's side tie rodend, found the cv on that side fine, and then started on the passenger side. Tie rod end wasn't bad, but had a new one anyway, cv boot had came off, clamp snapped, and the joint itself had split and lost a bearing. Big clunking going on. I took everything off and wanted to get a good video, but at 30 degrees my camera batteries kept dieing. But I changed the cv half shaft, and tie rod. Didn't film/photograph the tie rod end, it is two bolts and a cotter pin. But I did get shots of tearing everythig apart, if you ant to see go go back together watch the video in reverse ;P. Yes in the vid there are two half axles on my car, didn't do the driver side wasn't bad yet, just replaced the tie rod end over there. I had four big pains. The axle nut. Beating the differential spline out of the transmission. Advance Auto parts gave me the wrong cv half shaft. It was cold enough to have my beer freeze outside, and my batteries die in about thirty seconds.
