1963 FORD COUNTRY SQUIRE STATION WAGON, RESTORATION PROJECT
Description
THIS WAGON IS AN ORIGINAL SURVIVOR --ALMOST. IT NEEDS A TOTAL MAKE-OVER AND RESTORATION, BUT WHAT A RARE JEWEL IT IS. THIS IS ONE OF ONLY 16114 COUNTRY SQUIRES BUILT THIS YEAR. ALSO THIS YEAR FORD BUILT IT'S 30TH MILLION V-8 ENGINE. THE V-8 ENGINE IN THIS WAGON HAS THE 390 CID VERSION THAT PRODUCED 340 HP. ALL IN ALL FORD HAD TEN DIFFERENT ENGINE CHOICES THIS YEAR. THE LIST PRICE OF THIS SQUIRE IS $3018 AND WEIGHED 4006 LBS. ALWAYS ADMIRING OLDER CARS THAT NEED A TOTAL RESTORATION AND THIS ONE FITS VERY WELL IN THAT CATEGORY. THE INTERIOR IS GOOD, THE EXTERIOR IS FADEDRUSTY, AND WORN AND NEEDS NEW PAINT. AGAIN THIS YEAR FORDS ARE IDENTIFIED BY THEIR HUGE ROUND TAIL LIGHTS. AND THE FAUX WOOD GRAIN DEFINITLY NEEDS REWORK BUT WHAT A JOY FOR SOME OWNER TO RESTORE A RARE JEWEL LIKE THIS. THANKS VERY MUCH FOR VIEWING THIS RARE COUNTRY SQUIRE WAGON.
