In 1992 was produced in honor of the GTA, the 155 GTA: permanent four wheel drive, 2-liter turbo engine with 400 horsepower capable of multivalve head, intercooler cooled by water jet spray, 6-speed gearbox and braking system derived from Formula 1 . This mechanism was largely based on that of the Lancia Delta Integrale Evoluzione, which dominated the rally in the very same year. The design of the car was entrusted to Charles Gaino Synthesis of the study design. In 1993, however, the rules change, and the 155 GTA was useless for the Italian Championship Superturismo who had just won with Nicola Larini. So it was used as the basis for the construction of the extraordinary 155 V6 TI meets the FIA rules class D1: powered by a V6 engine 2500 - with the angle between the cylinder banks of 60 °, which spent over 420CV at 12000 rpm - and with sophisticated all-wheel drive, the V6 TI was in effect a prototype tubular chassis and sequential gearbox. Alfa Romeo attended the 1993 DTM with 4 cars, beating off competition in the German Mercedes, Opel and BMW. The 155 V6 TI won most races and the constructors' championship, while Nicola Larini graduated sample between the pilots.
