Volvo 144 (1970 Model) - first start after rebuild!

Description

This is my sisters volvo, she bought this car 11 years ago for $300(Aus $). This is the first start after the rebuild. When she got the car, the motor ran with a slight knock, I assumed it was normal as this was the first 100 series volvo I'd heard run. When I pulled this motor down(11 years and allot of driving later), I discovered the front cam bearing was nonexistant(the remains were in the sump!), and the second bearing wasn't much better! The crazy thing is, the motor purred like a kitten! There was never any hint of such a problem with the way it drove! Says allot about volvo engineering! The motor in the video is a B20B. For those who don't know volvo, that means it's a 2 litre with twin sidedraft carby's(either su's or strombergs) factory fitted on a volvo manifold! Volvo also had the B20A, single carby(either downdraft or sidedraft), the B20E with electronic ignition and the B20F, which had electronic fuel injection! There was also the B30, the 6 cylinder, it was the 4 cylinder with 2 extra cylinders on the back! It came with single or twin carbys or with fuel injection!
