Yes folks, thats right! I've bought me another car! It's a 2001 Mazda Millenia Premium w/ 170K on the odometer. Yes that is a lot of miles, but it was well worth it to now be driving one of the most sought after Mazda's ever built! Bought her for $3000 from a small, and I do mean small, car dealer, in Plano, TX. The car is still in amazing shape for having as many miles as it does. Now a tiny bit of Mazda Millenia history, just to give you an idea of how rare this car is. In 1994, Mazda launched the Millenia into production as part of a group of cars under the car group named Amati. When Amati went belly up due to financial troubles, the Millenia alone was the last car to survive under the Amati name. The car went through a couple of design changes over the years, ending with the version you see here (2001-2002) as the last of the Millenias. In Japan, the Millenia is known as the Eunos 800, and in Europe it's known as the Xedos 9. The 2001-2002 Millenias were basically available in 2 packages. First off, you had the Premium. Which included things like power seats, leather, power tilt steering, sunroof, etc. and a 2.5L 24-valve DOHC V6 (KLDE) which produced 170hp and 160 lb/ ft of torque. However, if you were a bit more adventurous and wanted a little bit more for your money, then you stepped up to the Millenia S Premium.
