Season: 1 Episode: 6 Manufacturer: Bugatti Automobiles SAS Bugatti was founded in 1909 by Ettore Bugatti. In 1963 Bugatti was sold to Hispano-Suiza, then in 1968, Bugatti was bought by Snecma, and in 1977 Bugatti was merged with Messier to form Messier-Bugatti. Then again, in 1987, Romano Artioli acquires Bugatti, then it became known as Bugatti Automobili SpA. In 1998, Bugatti was bought once more, this time by Volkswagen AG. The company became known as Bugatti Automobiles SAS, what it is known as today. Five years prior though, the EB 112 concept was unveiled. When VW bought Bugatti in 1998, the EB 118 was revealed to the public. The next year, at the Geneva Motor Show, the EB 218 was shown. Later that year, the 18/3 Chiron concept was revealed. Then, at the turn of the century, the turn of the millenium, the EB 16.4 "Veyron" concept was uncovered. The 16.4 later began production as the Veyron 16.4, aka: The Fastest Production Car In The World. The Veyron was trumped by the SSC Ultimate Aero in 2007. In 2009, the much speculated and teased about 16C Galibier concept was released. What could be next for the century old great hypercar maker?
