Jaguar E-type V12 EFI Dyno run 2

Description

This was the second of two runs on a dyno with my '71 Jaguar E-type V12 converted to 11.5:1 HE spec with EFI and distributorless ignition under control of Megasquirt. Final graph here: tinyurl.com This run was started at 1000rpm because I wanted to know what happens to torque at those very low rpms. It started off at 260Nm (not sure if the guy operating the car had his foot flat) and was at 300Nm at 1800rpm already. The rev limiter cuts in at 6000rpm. Torque started dropping off at 5000rpm (due to the HE heads) but power followed a horizontal line at 166Kw from 5000 to 6000rpm. The run was done in Edenvale in Johannesburg, South Africa where barometric pressure is typically 85kpa (0.85bar) being 1500m above sea level. This altitude is considered to rob normally aspirated engines of about 15% - 20% of their potential power at sea level. The max power and torque figures were 166Kw (223Hp) and 322Nm (237pdft). I Do not know when last and how well the dyno is calibrated.
