Eddie Stakes AMC 78 Pacer custom wagon funny

This was a generic short series of commercials we filmed in Kellywood here in Houston, Texas, in 1998, to be distributed to national electronic tax return companies. Old friend Chuck Singleton was in charge of filming it. Chuck died in 2009 unexpectedly at 57, we will miss you big guy. The residents of the house had to get permission from HA to let grass grow. Chucks friends were hiding behind bushes with sticks to knock the shutters down on cue. One of the guy's daughters stood behind door which was not real door, it was beater door, no hinges, to fall on cue, had to do several takes as she was little girl holding doll and had to push it forward. My 78 Pacer custom woodie wagon was shaved, lowered and limoed way before this commercial and Chuck asked if I had a bumper 'to drop' which the bumper is a 68-74 AMX/Javelin bumper for you AMCers. The air let out of tire with Cragar, and Chuck was laying on ground out of site (hard to hide the big fellow) but he dropped jack on cue for the effect you see for split second with bumper falling off and tire flat, as the bumper was 'held on' with two screwdrivers! The 'planet houston amx' graphics on 1/4 glass was covered up with black electrical tape and paper we painted black with Krylon paint! It took several tries to get the paperboy to hit the potted plant. The gist of commercial was 'everything is going wrong poor fellow has bad luck and needs money fast' hence the electronic tax refund. The yellow blank at end of commercial <b>...</b>
