Mille Miglia 2011, Enzo Ferrari was used to refer to it as "The most beautiful Race in the World" This year edition has seen the participation of 2 historical vehicle Vigili del Fuoco, the Italian Fire Fighter, an Alfa Romeo 6C 200 with number 121 and another Alfa Romeo, the AR51, nick name "Matta" which is an off-road vehicle. As part of this year celebrations, in the wonderful atmosphere of Castel St. Angelo, in Rome, another 2 incredible beautiful Vigili del Fuoco vehicle has been displayed for the joy of kids and adults. They are, a unique vehicle in its gender, the Isotta Fraschini 8A, extremely well maintained and cared as a baby, which happens to be the nick name it is called by the Vigili del Fuoco personnel, and a van with movable ladder on a FIAT 634 mechanics. There was, also, for the occasion, a couple of Vigili del Fuoco, dressing the old uniforms, which keeps they original fascination. We have been able to interview them, and they have explain us the legend behind the Isotta Fraschini, and its technical feature, which are pretty amazing considering the ages when it was on active duty. The van with mobile ladder has its own peculiarity, since is the only one survived, and it still in great shape and fully functional; as we have been explained, this specific vehicle has been used during WWII to extinguish fire in San Lorenzo, a subdivision of Rome near by Main Train Terminal "Roma Termini" after Nazi have bombed it.
