Renault Laguna 1.9 dci turbocharger problem
Description
Recorded this video to show my friend the smoke coming out of the exhust when I rev the car. First rev is around 1500 rpm, 2nd is around 2000 rpm and the 3rd is around 3000 rpm and then I do it the 2nd time in the same way. My car broke down on the motorway whiles travelling at 70 mph, warning lights on my dashboard were flashing and I pulled over on the hard shoulder. Couldn't start the engine. Couple of hours later, I managed to start the engine, still got the warning lights flashing. My recovery driver 'thinks' the problem maybe the turbocharger. He only did one visual check and saw the smoke from my exhust when I revved it once. Not sure if I can still drive it yet. I will test it later. Feel free to comment if you may know the problem! :) *UPDATE* OK it turns out that it wasn't the turbo charger at fault. I've taken it to my local garage and they said it's fine and the real fault was the fuel pump! Got a new one fitted and it's working fine now!
