Description
SOLD Body by Schwartz of Pasadena Calif. Chassis No. 2536 Motor straight 8 Double overhead Cam Supercharged: 420.0 Cu. Inches 320 HP 3 speed transmission: Started in 1918 Duesenberg was from the beginning the finest automobile made in the USA. It rivals the best from Europe ie: Mercedes etc. The motors built by Lycoming are a piece of art in them self delivering a tremendous 320 HP that would pull in high gear at a crawl to well over 125 MPH. The SJ is the supercharged version and the body by Schwartz made into the speedster screams power and style. At a cost of $17000 in 1933 and being built during the great depression Duesenberg never made a profit and collapsed in 1937. Today the Duesenberg,Cord and Auburn cars are highly sought and the Duesenbergs are held in collections by some of the wealthiest people in the world.
