A short ride in a 1923 Austin 20 Sports.

Description

A short trip in my son's 1923 Austin 20 Sports. It has a 3.6 litre four cylinder flat head engine with a high compression head, Claudel Hobson carb, high lift cam, close ratio gearbox, high ratio rear axle and delivers 90 horse power. Top speed is about 90 MPH which is very exciting with only cable brakes working on the rear wheels. Only 50 of these were built by the factory. One of them was timed at 105 MPH at Brooklands.
