Checker Marathon 4 door

The quintessential New York cab...in service for so many years! Checker made a civilian version of the cab..and this is it. They also made a huge station wagon version...I remember seeing one on a regular basis years ago. I believe they started with Continental 6 cylinder engines, but by the time this car was produced, they were using small block Chevy engines and transmissions. Sorry to see this legend pass into history!
