Handsome, sleek, and evocative all at the same time, the Audi A5 is one of the most desirable sportcars around. While it might not offer the best thrills to be had on four wheels, its looks alone made it an overnight worldwide success. Euromobil recently launched it officially in Malaysia, where it is set to take the market, currently only occupied by a handful rivals, by storm. Specced with the infamous EA888 2.0-litre turbocharged mill making 211bhp and a massive 350Nm of torque, the A5 quattro is able to reach 100km/h from standstill in just 6.5 seconds with a top speed of 245km/h. Coupled with the new 7-speed S tronic dual clutch gearbox, it's capable of returning an amazing (for its performance) 13.3km/L making it a prime example of the wonders of engine downsizing, direct injection, and efficient turbocharging. Audi didn't skimp on equipments either, as the A5 comes standard with six airbags, adaptive xenon lights, tyre pressure monitor and a programmable damping control called Audi Drive Select. Panoramic sunroof and in-car GPS however, are cost extras. No one expected Audi to charge peanuts for it and it's not. The A5 2.0 TFSI quattro is priced at RM399,900, which makes it more expensive than its direct competitor, the BMW 325i Coupe, though that car is more sparsely equipped, slower, and thirsty in comparison.
