Key / shifter stuck pontiac pursuit G5 2006. shifter wont lock. KEY STUCK PROBLEM. G5

There is alot internet gabble about this problem with this model it is common and annoying. the shifter will not lock into park and will not give you the key. thus may be draining your batery in the process. everyone argues that they have this many years mechanic exp and this that this that cable problem no its a pin no its a cable blah blah blah. i am not a mechanic i am 23 years old and no nothing of cars. but i pulled off the shifer assembly case and put the problem on video so people may better there opinions on the issue based on a visual inspection. my opinion is that it is a pin that pops out. there is no damage on the pin at all. it simply just fell out. umm...i think.... the teeth are not striped at all it shows no wear on it.
