Audi A6 2011 Test

The new a6 has a longer wheelbase (7cm/about 3 inches) and a body of aluminum/steel mixed so that it's 30 kg lighter than the previous one and despite of the permanent 4WD it's about 80kg lighter than a comparable BMW 5 series or Mercedes E-Class with RWD! In spite of the expensive aluminium production the A6 is cheaper than it's rivals! Moreover there are full LED lights available with that Audi also is still pioneer! In a few years there will be a A6 hybrid with the same technology of the Q5 hybrid (2.0 TFSI generating 200hp + a 45hp electric motor) 2 patrol engines: naturally aspired: 2.8 FSI with 204 hp from 5250-6250 rpm 280Nm from 3000-5000rpm 1685kg 0-62mph in 7.7 seconds with fwd and multitronic gearbox (4wd+sTronic twin clutch available); charged: 3.0 TFSI with 300 hp from 5250-6500 rpm; 440Nm from 2900-4000rpm 1815kg 0-62mph in 5.5 seconds (only with 4wd and sTronic available) diesel engine: 3.0 TDI with #1:204hp from 3700-4500 rpm and 400Nm from 1250-3500rpm fwd and multitronic 0-62 in 7.2seconds 1720kg #2: 245hp from 4000-4500rpm and 500Nm from 1400-3250rpm 4wd and sTronic 0-62mph in 6.1 seconds 1795kg
