After six months of testing, the new AC 5000 series CTA "L" cars were finally moved to the revenue testing stage, carrying real people on real routes in real Chicago weather 24/7. On Monday, April 19, 2010, an eight car train began four weeks of testing on the Red Line, the busiest line in the system.
