Aston Martin V8 Vantage Roadster LOUD acceleration and downshift!!!!

While driving home, I an Aston Martin V8 Vantage roadster pulls out in front of us on Collier Blvd in Marco Island, Florida! It got stopped at a red light so I decided to record it. The guy does a brutal acceleration at the beginning and then we pass him. He sees me recording him and drives by and downshifts! Anyway this V8 Vantage was REALLY loud and I don't know why. Custom exhaust? Valves permanently open? If you know comment please.
