A Possible Dream: the Andrea Friedman Story - preview
Description
This is a preview of the 47-minute documentary, "A Possible Dream: the Andrea Friedman Story", made by Hillary Pryor. When Andrea was born the doctors urged her parents, Hal and Marj Friedman, to place her in an institution. Hal and Marj refused to accept this verdict for their precious daughter and set about to give her all the love, opportunities and challenges they would any child. This documentary, narrated by Joanne Woodward, traces Andrea's childhood and the family's struggle to have her accepted in the 'mainstream'. As we follow Andrea's daily life - at work, at home, at acting workshops and out with friends - we explode many of the myths about people with mental challenges.
