10/22 SBR with silencer

Description

I brought my 10/22 short barreled rifle to the range today and took some video. Listen to what I said if you're curious about it - it's a damn quiet rifle setup, overall. The Ruger 10/22 has a factory barrel on it that I have shortened to 5.5" and threaded 1/2-28 .450" long. This length keeps even CCI MiniMags subsonic, which is the ammunition I'm using to demonstrate this weapon with. The silencer is constructed on CNC equipment, in this case a Haas turning center and a Bridgeport mill with DRO, out of 304L stainless steel. It is just under 11.950" long, with ten 60deg K-baffles and one blast baffle. The K-baffles have squirrel holes as per standard practice, with the intention (and effect) of increasing turbulence within the silencer to further reduce the sound level. The baffles are aligned 90deg to one another by using a small series of notches and projections, with the intent of increasing turbulence within the silencer - this idea in particular was inspired by early works by Vaime. The silencer and 10/22 SBR are registered per the 1934 NFA and comply with applicable state laws.
