1941 Studebaker Commander Coupe

This is probably best seen as a 1941 1/2 Skyway model. Note the curved, one piece windshield. This has to be one of the first one piece, curved windshield..very advanced for its time. The original engine on this Commander would have been an in-line, flat head six. An "automatic" was offered in 1942 models, but it involved a fluid coupling and a clutch...I have never seen one.
