DigInfo - www.diginfo.tv Zero Sports exhibited its Zero EV Elexceed RS lithium ion battery powered electric vehicle equipped with on-board lithium ion batteries at the International Automotive Electronics Technology Expo. Zero Sports is already selling the "Zero EV Elexceed RS" equipped with sealed lead-acid batteries on a built-to-order basis, but the new model with lithium ion battery specifications is 70kg more lightweight, weighing in at 360kg compared to the 430kg of the lead-acid battery based model. The new model also provides better acceleration performance and a longer cruising range. The new model is equipped with 105 notebook type lithium ion batteries that are positioned on both sides of the driver's seat, which is where the lead acid batteries are positioned in the previous model, and the batteries can be charged from a standard AC100V household outlet.
