All New 2011 Subaru Impreza WRX STI Spec C

Description

Subaru has unveiled the new Impreza WRX STI spec C for the Japanese market. This Spec C iteration brings the model up to speed with the facelifted WRX which debuted earlier this year at the New York auto show. Some fine tuning was done on the WRX Spec C for this new edition including an ECU remap and the addition of new ball-bearings for the twin-scroll turbocharger. That makes for new output figures of 308 PS (227 kW / 304 bhp) and 430 Nm (317 lb-ft) of torque on the 2.0 liter turbo unit. The WRX STI Spec C also gets a driveline change to a mechanical rear limited-slip differential from the previous Torsen type as well as having the front chassis reinforced with a new cross member (photo 12). Subaru also spares the Spec C some weight by means of an aluminum bonnet, smaller battery and 18-inch light alloy wheels wrapped in Bridgestone POTENZA RE070 tires in 245/40R18 dimensions.
