THE SECOND MODEL YEAR OF THE CORD AUTOMOBILE WITH IT'S FAMOUS " COFFIN HOOD ". IN '37 SUPERCHARGING WAS AN OPTION THAT PROPELLED CORDS TO 115 MPH AND COULD DO 0 - 60 MHP IN ELEVEN SECONDS, MAKING THE SUPERCHARGED CORDS THE FASTEST AMERICAN CAR OF 1937. THIS '36 IS JUST A STANDARD CORD POWERED BY A LYCOMING L-HEAD V8 ENGINE. ALL CORDS WERE HAND BUILT AND FEATURED THE FIRST HIDDEN HEADLAMPS. TOTAL CORD PRODUCTION FROM ' 35 THROUGH '37 WAS 1278.
