1965 Porsche 356C Coupe Chassis No. 221124 Engine No. 716404 356 History: The Porsche 356 was the company's first production automobile. It was a lightweight and nimble handling rear-engine rear-wheel-drive 2 door sports car, available in hardtop and convertible configurations. Design innovations continued during the years of manufacture, contributing to its motorsports success and popularity. Production started in 1948 at Gmünd, Austria where approximately 50 cars were built. In 1950 the factory relocated to Zuffenhausen, Germany and general production of the 356 continued until April 1965 with the 356C. 221124: Presented here, is a fantastic presentation of the highly popular 356C Coupe. This numbers-matching example (as recognized by the 356 registry) was a recipient of a thorough ground up restoration some time ago; with no item overlooked during the process. Everything from the body to engine and drive-train, interior upholstery (excluding headliner), seals, electrical system, hoses and lines were either refreshed or replaced. Mechanically the car is very strong; while the electrical system, drive train and brakes run smoothly and reliably as they should. Jack, spare tire, and fuel tank cover accompany the coupe, as well as the original AM/FM Blaupunkt radio and drivers manual!
