Limit Pushing - 1972 Cutlass 442 Dyno Test
Description
Deafening The Oldsmobile Cutlass: The Oldsmobile Cutlass was introduced in 1961 as the highest end model of the F-85 line. The Cutlass name grew in popularity throughout the 70's and by the 80s the Cutlass name was spread over four Oldsmobile cars: the Cutlass Calais, the Cutlass Ciera, the Cutlass Cruiser, and the Cutlass Supreme. The Cutlass began as an experimental V8 sports coupe designed in 1954. The 1961 sports version, which saved the Cutlass from slumping sales, powered by a 3.5 liter four barreled V8 that produced 185 hp. Moving into the 70s, the cutlass received much more massive engines. In 1970 the Cutlass 4-4-2 boasted a 7.2 liter which produced around 350 hp. The production of the Cutlass ended after its 6th generation in 1999.
