Hillman Imp Oakburn Park 2010.mpg

Description

Hillman Imp with Yamaha FJ1200 engine fitted. This was the sprint format at Oakburn Park Raceway at Tamworth NSW on 4/7/2010. The Imp still had old Formula Ford tyres as this stage & they did not seem to suit the car. The Imp has since had slicks fitted & the suspension further tuned. On this day the blue Skyline that can be seen on the track at the same time just beat the Imp by approx 1 sec. Since slicks & suspension, the Imp is now about 1 sec quicker than the Skyline at our local hillclimb track. Not too shabby considering there is 24 years difference between drivers & 36 years difference between cars.
