GTO 3000GT 6G72 cambelt slack

Description

Cambelt slack on a cold engine. Very small rotation and it all goes tight again. The slackness is a function of the tensioner, cam springs, design and possibly thermal effects. The slackness is variable - sometimes the belt is nice and tight (on a cold engine) implying that the cam position has a lot to do with it. A little worrying when you first see this but as far as I can tell it is normal on a correctly timed and tensioned engine. New belt, tensioner, pulley and waterpump etc etc and this after 1000 miles. I will be double checking the tensioner again.
