Cadillac Eldorado-1983

Hi Eldorado fans, Just thought I would post this video of my recently acquired 83 Cadillac with the (GASP) infamous, HT 4100 4.1 V-8 motor! Over the past two - three weeks, I've read all of the horror stories about this motor and read just about everything on the web related to it. Perhaps this one too may go that way, perhaps not. (I'm certainly hoping for the NOT option, lol!) I plan to keep on top of the maintenance, tune-ups, oil changes and will use the radiator pellets as recommended by GM. I drove it home about 400 miles through mountains to get it home and she performed flawlessly. As is also well known, this motor is a bit underpowered for this large of a car, but I didn't buy it to be a powerhouse and only plan to drive it as a fair weather, as a sort of boulevard cruiser to enjoy. My parents had a 1981 Eldorado with the 6.0 liter 6-8-4 V-8. Theirs had the black exterior and the same color interior as this one! My Aunt also had a 78 Cadillac Seville that was close to the same color on the outside as this Eldorado and gray on the inside also, so this car reminds me of two Cadillacs that my family has owned throughout the years, all in one car! :) I enjoy many of the little "Cadillac" touches that these cars have that aren't on Cadillacs anymore. For example, the bright light, parking light and turn signal indicator lamps on the edges of the front fender by front of the hood are really cool. So are the brake light monitors across the upper rear window trim on the <b>...</b>
