Just perfect in every detail! The last big Packard. The name soldiered on for two more years as an alter ego Studebaker with different trim..they saved the cathedral tailights! I still remember when the merger of Studebaker-Packard was announced...the lady vocalist who Packard sponsored assured the public that Packard would go on as always! What a travesty! The foreshadowing of the lack of respect for established names, repeated recently with Plymouth, Oldsmobile and Pontiac. What a pity!
