1974 Daimler Double Six Vanden Plas Series 2

Description

This rare motor car is finished in stunning blue metallic with the obligatory vinyl roof. Powered by the famous Jaguar inspired 5.3 12 cylinder engine, the vehicle is still the subject of a rolling restoration. These models are the top tier of the Series XJ line. The cars were originally specially finished by the Vanden Plas Coachworks outside London. This vehicle sports the also rare 4 Stromberg carburettor arrangement where most of the models carried fuel injection. This car is 1974 vintage.
