1 May 1937 changed Betty MacDougal's life forever. After witnessing an accident in the middle of the night, young Betty approached a mysterious black car. A mortally wounded spy emerged from the vehicle. He had been shot! He offered her the Car-of-Tomorrow in trade for a single wish. He wanted her to deliver him from the city he despised. The windshield is actually two panes of glass with a gas. When a current is sent through the gas it amplifies ambient light. It creates night vision, like a cats eyes. Inside the trunk, Betty found a large striped tarp. She discovered it was bulletproof, so she fashioned it into a costume.
